Take a SEAT! Piers Morgan informs US media of their 'duty to Americans' (and he's WRONG)

In the wake of a deadly mass shooting, you can always count on Piers Morgan to mount his high horse.

Florida shooter was too young to buy a beer in Florida.
But he was old enough to buy one of these & attack a school.
America – what is WRONG with you? https://t.co/32rB9mwliK pic.twitter.com/UAxF4EqmB7

Here's an idea for you, Mr President @realDonaldTrump: a total and complete shutdown of assault weapons being sold in the United States until the country's representatives can figure out what is going on.

We have no choice. pic.twitter.com/WagG9QzWjW

Fine consoling words just now, Mr President – but meaningless if you don't tackle the real problem here: GUNS. pic.twitter.com/MQ7bhteKz1

A psycho killed people. What's so hard to understand?

— Zero Credibility (@DrBAChapman) February 15, 2018

Let me explain Brian: we have psychos in Britain, many of them. But they don't kill people with guns because we don't let them have access to guns.
Do you understand now? https://t.co/K5fjfgX6VQ

Piers Morgan doesn’t understand a lot of things. Like the role of the media:

Come on US media, this is your moment. If you can't force through gun control laws after another Sandy Hook then when can you?
Pile the pressure on, give it the same obsessive attention you've given to Trump-bashing. Effect change & save lives – this is your duty to Americans.

“Force through gun control laws”? Maybe that’s what the media are supposed to do in Britain, but that’s not their job here — despite what they may believe.

I see Morgan expects the press to press an agenda. . . so long as it is one he agrees with ? https://t.co/FSKZtcssKc

I think you misunderstand the proper role of the American media. @piersmorgan https://t.co/nrKiSqBudL

After Dunblane in 1996, it was the UK media that drove new gun laws. We saw it as our duty to the country to safeguard our kids. Why do you not feel the same? https://t.co/pGLOrp4kOu

Congratulations, brave anti-gun warrior Piers. And the UK is now violence-free, right?

Look, Piers Morgan has only one “duty to Americans,” and that’s to sit there and stop telling Americans what’s good for them.
