They can't accept that hiring someone based on their sex and race is a bad idea and that playing identity politics isn't something the majority of Americans buy into.
Then again, if you consider Kamala Harris was brought in because she's the only Democrat who is less likable than Biden, that she's an insurance policy of sorts, it makes perfect sense to hire her.
