Nothing convinces people to listen to you like mocking their ideals in an effort to shame them for supporting President Trump. I’m not entirely sure what Matt Lewis thought he would accomplish here by basically mocking Conservatives with their ideals (that he is clearly clueless about) but if it was somehow convincing them not to support Trump, he failed.
He failed big time.
And he must’ve missed why so many of these same people voted for Trump in 2016.
Look at this snobbery:
Let’s say you’re a conservative person. You orient your life around faith, family, community, decency, patriotism, modesty, honesty, charity, frugality, and human dignity… and your heroes are… Donald Trump, Rush Limbaugh, and Rudy Giuliani?

Matt wouldn’t know faith, family, community, decency, patriotism, modesty, honesty, charity, frugality, or human dignity if it fell out of the sky, landed on his face and started to wiggle.
This is why Trump won.
And this is why he’ll likely win again.
Middle America is tired of being talked down to and treated like their beliefs are less than … for some reason the Left can’t seem to figure this out.
Thank goodness.
Lets dont say that. Its demeaning, insulting and frankly false.
Trump is my President. Reagan OTOH is as close to a hero as a politician could be.
Leftists OTOH would count FDR as their hero (remember him? The guy that actually DID throw U.S. citizens into concentration camps)

Demeaning and insulting.
Matt really thinks he’s our moral better.
Let's say you're a liberal leftist person. You orient your life around equality, inclusion, social justice, global warming, humanity, and fighting the 1% … and your heroes are Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton and George Soros?

I call masculine bovine droppings on this tweet.

Clever.
If political figures are who you put you’re daily trust and faith in you have a problem. You’ve named three on the right, I could name dozens upon dozens more on both sides.

And you think Democrats are better because…?
— While Supplies Last (@corrcomm) November 16, 2019
BECAUSE ORANGE MAN BAD.
The left has said for years that faith is oppressive, family is patriarchial, decency and modesty are constructive, patriotism is jingoism, human dignity is a lie, and charity is anti-democratic. Why is the collapse of those things a bad thing in your eyes?
— Nate (on the) Stone (@nes_nathan) November 17, 2019
Or you can be a conservative person with those same outlooks in life and not make a hero out of any politicians. Most of us just want them to do the jobs we hired them to do. It’s very simple.
— Laura Gadbery ? (@lgadbery) November 17, 2019
Yup.
Let's say you're a sane person who doesn't consider politicians to be heroes.
They should be considered temp hires and we should hope we elect ones who will do the least harm.
Stop hero-worshipping any of them. And definitely, don't vote for ones who will advance evil.

Imagine claiming you're a journalist and then working at CNN.

‘Nuff said.
