You're joking, RIGHT?! Joyce Carol Oates tweets poor people are 'very lucky' cannibalism is taboo

What the?

Poor persons & their young children very lucky that taboo against cannibalism still holds. Possibly, the last & most elemental taboo.

— Joyce Carol Oates (@JoyceCarolOates) April 1, 2017

Yo poor people, you’re lucky cannibalism is taboo because otherwise rich people would just start eating you left and right.

O.O

Ok, now she DID tweet this on April Fool’s Day – maybe it was just some sort of warped and twisted joke?

But then she sort of doubled down on it by tying the bizarre cannibalism tweet into people in Europe eating cats … so maybe not?

Had to turn off video about preparing cats for so-called gourmet cuisine (in Europe)–horrible! yet to those who eat them, no problem.

See? Hrm.

Fairly certain if children stumbled across your home, you'd fatten and eat them. Then write a cookbook.

Joke or not, she scares us, true story.

Jeeeez, Joyce. Can you name *any* third-world country in which cannibalism is practiced for reasons of poverty?

Yet, it was ok to eat babies in the bible when they were hungry (more than one story on this)…bible thumpers hope we don't know… I do…

— Selina Grissom (@LilRdVet2) April 2, 2017

Huh? The Bible talks about people eating babies?!

Chapter, verse?

The fact that we can’t tell if this was a joke or not says SO much about the Left.

Heh.
