At the heart of his ‘removal’ is an investigation into the claims that Ailes has been sexually harassing women with the network, including but not limited to Gretchen Carlson, who came forward at the beginning of July.

According to the article, the Murdochs may still be deciding whether to outright fire Ailes or allow him to resign. Either way, the investigation continues with several individuals at the network, some questioning the appropriateness of them being pressured to speak out in defense of Ailes.
