Another Obama mandate: Turn off Fox News

Like any good liberal, Barack Obama celebrates diversity — except when it comes to cable news. Tonight he reportedly asked a customer at Ziggy’s bar in Parma, Ohio, to ask the owner to shut off Fox News during a campaign stop.

The good news is that they didn’t get into an argument over the remote.

Note that the president didn’t ask the owner directly. Would this be another example of “leading from behind”? That being said, when was the last time you were in a bar and the TVs were tuned to anything but sports programming? Ziggy’s must be a happenin’ place.

The president undoubtedly prefers MSNBC, which runs an around-the-clock infomercial for his re-election (except on weekends when it runs all those cool prison documentaries).

CNN, which is inflicted unmercifully upon airport travelers, isn’t much better.

Actually the president may have a point about turning off Fox News — whenever Bob Beckel, Juan Williams, Tamara Holder, or Alan Colmes makes an appearance, that is.
