House Leadership: American Security Against Healthcare Costs

"America is secure again," Rep. Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana), Speaker of the House of Representatives, tweets. "For over a year, zero illegal aliens have been admitted into our country. This is what it looks like to deliver on our promises."

"Republicans cut $1 trillion from Medicaid and refused to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits," Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-New York), Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, tweets. "Democrats are committed to making healthcare affordable for every single American. Big difference between us and the extremists."

Republicans and Democrats can position themselves with the messaging they think may appeal to prospective voters. The GOP may try to run on a secure border. Democrats could very well charge that Republicans are not doing enough to cause healthcare costs to go down from where they are. These are not small things, and the American voter will have her or his say about it before it is all said and done.
