Egyptian warplanes struck targets early this morning in Derna, Libya following the horrific ISIS beheadings of Coptic Christians on beach in Tripoli.

Out: strategic patience. In: Immediate retaliation.

BBC reports Egypt has launched airstrikes on Libya. Bombing ISIS targets now. Retaliation for the killing of 21 Coptic Christians.

To send troops abroad, Sisi needs the approval of the national defense council, the cabinet and the Armed forces. He's meeting with the 1st.
