The Israel Defense Forces landed in the Philippines this week to provide humanitarian aid and relief to typhoon survivors. The troops immediately went to work constructing a field hospital in hard-hit Cebu.

This morning, aid teams reported that the first baby had been born in the field hospital. The grateful parents named the baby “Israel.”
