'Bread and milk' snowstorm vid goes viral; Who's hungry for French toast?

Prior to the #blizzard, milk and bread are disappearing from shelves. Someone will be making lots of french toast. pic.twitter.com/saXcr9It

Comedian Vic DiBitetto’s 30-second comedy video poking fun at the “bread and milk” panic that accompanies every major weather event went viral today.

And it raises a good question: What’s so magical about bread and milk when Mother Nature strikes, anyway?

How is it I can go weeks without consuming any bread or milk, yet when weather threatens, it's like water or oxygen for the masses?

Just saw video of empty store shelves in the Northeast. Milk and bread all gone. I love #milksandwiches! #blizzard

Watching CNN. Why does everyone suddenly need milk and bread when it snows? Is there a bread pudding tradition we're unaware of? #Nemo
