If you’ve ever watched the Simpsons, and let’s face it, you probably have, you know the villain of the series is the nuclear plant owner Charles Montgomery Burns – Monty to his friends.
Lisa Simpson is arguably the most liberal character on the show and is often portrayed as having the most heart, but is this an accurate interpretation?
Recent developments in energy have caused Twitchy favorite ‘Iowahawk’ to take a closer look at these characters and what they do for the people of Springfield.
He suggests Mr. Burns is the real hero and he makes a pretty good case. Take a look below:
how tf is Montgomery Burns the villain of the Simpsons? He provides abundant zero carbon electric power, is the biggest and most forgiving employer in Springfield, has an openly gay man as his closest advisor, and only release his hounds on his own private property

Face it, the real villain of the Simpsons is Lisa. Smug, pious brat who thinks she should be in charge of the whole town because she won the 2nd grade best diorama contest

At this point I think we should've learned a lesson about power-craving vegan failed artists who deliver impassioned speeches about their struggle pic.twitter.com/ofNn8g6U1G

Look, I'm not saying Lisa Simpson is Hitler, I'm just saying Lisa Simpson is Hitler with a speechwriting team full of 40-something Harvard Lampoon alumni living in Santa Monica

What about the time Mr. Burns wanted to block out the sun? He even covers that!
Twitter: but Burns tried to block out the sun!

We should also recognize that Burns pays his workers so well that even his most incompetent, non-essential workers can afford a 4 bedroom home with a stay-at-home spouse

Not to mention Springfield Nuclear's platinum employee health care plan, with apparently unlimited family hospital stays and emergency room visits

People replied with other examples.
Burns also pays for weight reduction surgery for employees. What other company does that?

Even Mr. Burns agrees.
