'Beyond parody!' You won't believe the ridiculous Christie coverage on 'Meet the Press'

Ah, days of yore. Good times, good times. Alas, that is no longer the case: Lapdogs gotta be lapdoggy!

No doubt #MTP will be wall to wall about Christie. Because lane closures on a New York bridge is such an important national issue. #sarcasm

Evidently, it is the most pressing issue of our time:

Beyond Parody: #MTP sends reporter out to Iowa to see how
Bridge-gate is playing there, before any extended discussion of Gates book.

— Jonah Goldberg (@JonahDispatch) January 12, 2014

Unbelievable. OK, it’s actually totally believable coming from the deluded folks over at “Meet the Press.” Remember, MTP recently had Ezra Klein and Obamacare architect Ezekiel Emanuel on the “reality check” segment about … Obamacare.

Now on @meetthepress: @jyangnbc from Iowa to see how and whether the @GovChristie is playing with 2016 voters. #MTP

Precious.

Other viewers also called out the hackery.

Oh I'm so glad #MTP is covering "Bridgegate". I haven't heard what's the latest on Chris Christie in the last 24hrs of my life.

#MTP David tries his hardest to skewer Christie but @Reince does a great job w/push back. #Benghazi #IRS #WhatDifferenceDoesItMake #Traffic?

@davidgregory You were so ENTHUSIASTIC this morning. Licking your chops. 45 minutes on #Christie. Where was this passion reporting IRS? #mtp

Boom.

But … but … bully or something.

Do you think Gov. Chris Christie is a bully? Let us know on Facebook http://t.co/UFF8ynmH4j #MTP

Double boom.

Jonah Goldberg makes an exit prediction about what might be coming next from “Meet the Press” hacks:

Waiting for #MTP roundtable with child psychologists to discuss how Bridge-gate is affecting the children. Is it making them cynical?

— Jonah Goldberg (@JonahDispatch) January 12, 2014

Beautiful. It’s funny because it could be true.
