I have a fascination with the United Kingdom and the Royal Family. I'm not sure why. Maybe I like all the jewels and pageantry. I definitely like the tradition of it all. I have never been a fan of Meghan as I felt she split up Princess Diana's sons and for a girl raised in the eighties (ME), that was unacceptable.
Today, we learned Meghan and Harry are moving BACK to the UK and their children will attend school there. This development fascinates me.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are moving back to Britain in the biggest shift to their family life since stepping away from royal duties in 2020, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are relocating with Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, to the U.K. for an extended period beginning this month, PEOPLE understands, with the children set to begin school there in September.
The couple will maintain their home in Montecito, California, and their vacation property in Portugal while establishing a private, non-royal home base in Britain. The location of the family’s new home and the children’s school are being closely guarded.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are to leave the U.S. and return to the U.K., the BBC has reported.

• Their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have apparently been enrolled in a British school in September, according to U.K. media reports that first appeared in the… pic.twitter.com/8IOq2PavHh
I'm particularly fascinated with the why behind the move. Did they decide the schools were better in the UK? Did they get fed up with the politics of Trump in the United States as has been suggested? Are they broke? Are they just outcasts in California and tired of being virtual nobodies?
Personally, I think as the children grew older, Prince Harry saw all of the things they were missing out on being 'regular' in the United States. They certainly did not enjoy all the privilege and pomp of his childhood. Furthermore, they had no connection to their grandfather or their birthright. He was robbing them of that.

Those in the know in the UK say it's because they were big failures in the United States. They weren't invited to the Hollywood parties and were persona non grata. He was not used to that, and she didn't want to go back to living that way. She'd been a D-list actress before, after all.

Honestly, the attention in America was hardly ever on them other than to mock their Netflix flops or their Oprah heart to hearts.
Wow it’s like they crawling back to the uo with their tails between their legs, happy for them as a couple but this is a bad look returning back. pic.twitter.com/dNvp95EsFL

They know it's a bad look, but they made the choice anyway. Shows how bad things must really be.
