A tweep asked a very interesting question on X recently and the answers were illuminating.
Has Twitter given you at least one genuine friend ??

For what it's worth, here is my answer. Twitter (now X) gave me the best job ever. Writing at Twitchy is truly a dream job. I get to be snarky, I love being sarcastic, and I get to make fun of dumb libs — that's a fantastic hobby. I get to write about current events, and we truly have the most awesome readers out there. Even when you disagree with me, I have to admit you're brilliant and insightful — and sometimes I get it wrong.
Twitter has introduced me to a wide variety of people who are so insightful and knowledgeable. That includes the editors and writers here at Twitchy, but also so many other great conservatives. Having access to all these great minds is such a gift.
Finally, the prayer warriors here have held my arms up just like Aaron and Hur did for Moses in the Old Testament. They prayed my dad through what should have killed him, and then a year later, they prayed me through losing him. Those same prayer warriors have stood beside my son as he's taken many tests to promote at work. Any time I've asked, they've prayed and let me know they're praying. It's a true sacrifice and it's so very kind.
I literally found my Habibi Bro for life on here https://t.co/oF3Wvog8vk pic.twitter.com/qmo5kYWLAj

And we've all had plenty of laughs because these two found each other on here.
Met an Irish woman on here who eventually asked if I wanted to meet for coffee if I ever happened to be in her area. I agreed. Turns out she lives 5 minutes away, and three years later I consider her one of my besties. So yeah, meet your mutuals. ❤️ https://t.co/vWaEYkveMC

Twitter can be 'in real life' and it can be very good.

Twitter gave me a boyfriend. 8 years and still going strong!

These two are some of my favorites and they deserved that love so very much.
Yeah… and it’s crazy how someone you’ve never met can understand you better than people you see every day.

This is the place where people often come to be their real selves. That authenticity attracts like-minded souls, and people find their tribe. At its best, Twitter (X) can be a truly wonderful thing.
