This is Why Parents Are Fleeing Public Schools: NYC Teacher Calls for Seizing Businesses

Twitter

Sigh. If you ever wonder why so many parents are choosing different options than public schools for their children's education, this interview is a good example. This person talking in the interview is a New York school teacher.

Basically, he says millionaires should not be allowed to leave New York. He doesn't believe they should be allowed to move their businesses to more economically friendly states like Florida. He believes the state should take over the businesses and then fine the owners. That kind of sounds like the government owns the means of production and that's Communism. Maybe rethink leaving your children with people like this for hours per day.

So at what point does our civic compact stop working? One of our two political parties is in-thrall to a voting base that is so wildly ignorant and emotional that they essentially are voting for civilizational suicide. The country can be shared by two opposing political parties when both of them genuinely and mutually agree on fundamental reality, but that is likely not possible when one party has gone totally off-the-rails with extremist policy positions that are obviously going to lead to ruin. I do not think our Constitution has the ability to remedy this situation.

It's getting very difficult to see how the two sides can continue to live side by side in this country. One side wants liberty and limited government. The other wants government involved in every facet of life and there is no way for those two philosophies to coexist.

As are most people. That's why there is an exodus to Florida.

Works for North Korea, I suppose.

They should not be running anything including a classroom.
