Not Shocking: Regular Churchgoers Thrive Mentally While Secular Liberals Struggle Most

When this came across my timeline today, I wasn't at all shocked. People who have faith in God, and know ultimately He is in control of everything that happens, live more peaceful lives. Leftists have made the huge mistake of substituting their political ideology for religion and it is making for very unhappy people.

If you are person who doesn't see the world as bigger than yourself, and believe there is more to life than politics, you will lose your mind. That's no way to live.

Obviously, I am a very political person. I write here and am on X frequently sharing my thoughts and ideas regarding the issues of the day. Even I find I have to log off sometime and concentrate on other things. One of those things is prayer, listening to my praise and worship music, playing a podcast of my favorite preachers, etc.

My home church is almost an hour from my now home, but I have been unable to find another place that felt comfortable so we make the drive in. Too many times, I've decided to stay home because the drive is too long, but I can always tell in my week because things go off the rails. My world is more steady and I can handle what life throws at me more effectively when I start my week with some Jesus.

Not just church, but specifically Jesus. Knowing the King of Kings is in your corner, makes whatever may come be more manageable. I don't know what I'd do without him. I'm a worry wart by nature and depending on Him keeps me from frequent panic attacks.

Also, take your children with you. It's important they grow up with a firm foundation for their own mental health.

It's almost like people for thousands of years have believed in Christ because He really is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
