In the Shadow of Fresh Graves, Trump Finally Delivers the Border Clarity America Begged For

President Trump has made a few decisions lately I don't love, but his immigration crackdown is exactly the right decision. In the shadow of fresh graves, Trump's iron fist on borders isn't cruelty—it's clarity Presidents before him should've had years ago.

Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old Afghan national who didn't just slip through the cracks—he was actively pulled through them by a system that prioritized speed over scrutiny. Admitted in 2021 under Biden's Operation Allies Welcome, vetted (or so they claimed) for his CIA-backed work against the Taliban, and granted asylum in April 2025. Clearly, the vetting was not extensive enough.

This isn't about walls or bans; it's about ensuring the next Guardsman standing post doesn't become a statistic in our own homeland. We've had years of blurred lines—time for the clarity that honors the dead by protecting the living.

Detractors cry xenophobia, pointing to low overall immigrant crime rates or advocacy groups like #AfghanEvac insisting 'no systemic failures' exist. Sorry, that doesn't comfort the families of the lost. They are now experiencing their first holiday season without their loved one and that is not acceptable.

People like this 'Leftist influencer' seem to believe allowing migrants unfettered access to our country is more important than protecting our citizens.

President Trump deserves nothing but praise for this decision. Even if it might hurt some feelings, it's far more important to protect American lives.

This is a lengthy post, but full of wisdom. It's time for a reset. Every single application deserves scrutiny and review. Hire more judges and staff if necessary. Rather than the IRS auditing working Americans and making their lives miserable, have them review immigration files. Unless there is hard evidence someone will be tortured or killed by their government should they be returned, they should be sent back. Even then, we can still return them to another country where they would be safe. They don't have to stay in the United States. Our resources need to be dedicated to American citizens exclusively.
