Allie Beth Stuckey Weighs in on How to Respond to the Announcement of a Pregnancy Out of Wedlock

Grok AI

Most conservatives agree the best way to bring a child into the world is to be a married couple with a Mom and Dad to take care of them. Unfortunately, that is not the circumstance half of American babies will find themselves in. Today, Allie Beth Stuckey offered her take on this issue.

Every child is a blessing and ordained by God with purpose. When you truly believe this, it's hard not to want to celebrate every birth.

Love the sinner and hate the sin.

As a person who has been a single mother and also the breadwinner of the home even when I was married, it is extremely difficult on a woman. It is not something one should aspire to. Even if you have the financial means to do it alone, waking up in the middle of the night multiple times with no support is not for the weak.

In my case, I was married and my husband chose to leave me and our child. It was too much for him even though our child was very much planned. God can redeem any situation.

We should absolutely celebrate a mother who chooses to give birth to her baby and doesn't choose the path the world claims is 'easier'.

This is a beautiful account of how a child can and will end up blessing their mother even when it feels like the world is ending when she first learns of the pregnancy. We can't allow the perfect to become the enemy of the good.
