With the news parts of Arizona may take 12-13 days to report back election results, it seems past time to discuss the obligation of states and their municipalities to get their act together so Americans can trust election results. It's very unfair to voters to call them 'conspiracy theorists' when they don't trust a vote that takes days and weeks to count. Florida has their totals by the end of election night, often by 8:00 pm. I know this because I live here. We are the third largest state. If we can do it, there is no excuse for other states to take weeks.
It's not always contingent on voters to just blindly trust that elections are secure. It's on election officials to inspire confidence in the system by doing more than just screaming you're crazy for doubting it.

In 2024 taking days to count critical results in swing areas,…
Lying about those other states in order to cover up for your own failures and incompetence, is malpractice.

"Forgetting" or rolling out untested software that causes a "glitch" -- even if true and legitimate -- that fails to upload thousands of ballots in a way that changes…
For some reason, Arizona has decided the way they will cover up their incompetence is to lie about Florida. That's super weird.
Imagine being AZ and trying to throw shade at FL in the year of our Lord 2024 for election policies and procedures. Lolz. https://t.co/cyYzK2vrr6

That's like me trying to tell a professional NBA player how to make a shot.
Insisting that only citizens vote, and then screeching like banshees when it's proposed to check voter ID or take affirmative steps to ensure only citizens vote, is atrocious and borders on giving away the game.

Do I think presidential elections are being stolen? No.
— Sunny (@sunnyright) October 24, 2024
Do I think it's wildly unacceptable for governments to keep fucking up in fixable, avoidable ways -- ways that predictably and clearly raise suspicion -- and then call people crazy for being suspicious? Absolutely.
The best way to prove they aren't being stolen? Run efficient elections.
Get your sh@t together. You're an election official. You have one job. And the most important performance by far only happens every four years. It's absolutely unacceptable that you're this sh@t at your job. And it's not on voters to avoid noticing.

Actually, these people are being paid by the taxpayers to be good stewards of our democratic process and they are dropping the ball.
States have different laws about when they can start counting ballots not cast in person on election day.
— William Belcher 🐦 (@EdB_Ohio) October 24, 2024
Then, it's up to the legislature to change the law or hire more people to count votes.
Here's the problem: It's not just a legal barrier. A key NV county that's Democratic had a "glitch" in untested software they're using that failed to report thousands of ballots. Maricopa County's official feed was caught lying about what Florida allows. It's incompetence and…

The stakes are too high for the games and blame shifting. If Arizona can't get it together, the other states need to step in and demand changes. Their incompetence is harming the whole of the nation and it has to stop.
