A Tale of Two College Experiences for Jewish Students Summed Up in One Tweet

AP Photo/Bassem Tellawi, File

I am a proud Floridian. I am one of those rare people actually born in Orlando, Florida. I did not move here for weather or Disney. I have always been here. My Mom is the most hard core of Floridians. She is a 'conch'. This is the name given to Floridians born in Key West. My children are the fifth generation of our family to be born in Florida. There are many reasons I am proud of Florida. The beautiful weather, the gorgeous beaches, the family entertainment and the lovely people. Today, I have another reason to be proud. While some Jewish college and university students around the country are living in fear for their lives, Jewish students are commemorating Passover in grand fashion in Florida.

What a beautiful sight!

Thanks to the steady leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis and University President Ben Sasse, all students feel safe to practice their religious traditions. As it should be in America.

It's easy to see why New York is emptying into Florida.

Who can forget DeBlasio sending out personnel to peek in the windows of Jewish schools and homes to see if they were gathering?

That seems to be the only places people can live in peace. Don't forget to vote and do not skip any elections.
