The nice thing about VIP pieces is I can talk about the people and the things that really get under my skin. Today, and many other days, it is the Florida Democrats. Full disclosure ... I am a native Florida and actually am a fifth generation Floridian. My mom is a conch. That is a person born in Key West. Those are a whole different type of Florida crazy. So, today, here in Florida, many residents are hunkering down and praying we are not hit by deadly storms or tornadoes. As I write this to you, there is a tornado watch for the next three hours. This is how the 'Florida Democrats' decided to address this horrible day.

Come on! Read the room. This has nothing to do with Ron DeSantis and the only thing he can do is offer relief resources as quickly as possible after the storm. He has shown he is very good at doing that.
Way to use this moment to rally help for those affected.

I mean, he’s issuing emergency orders, and mobilizing resources.
He’s not in a hotel room, coked out, in a pool of his own vomit and feces.
So, I’m trying to see how you think your plans would have been an upgrade. 🤷🏼♀️ https://t.co/UEzAYpB1A4
If Andrew Gillum would have won, that is what we would be facing.
You want to turn Florida into California, where entire towns burned to the ground due to uncontrolled wildfires. Was that Gavin Newsom's fault or is it only Republican politicians who can control the weather?

No thanks. We have all seen what Democratic leadership does to a beautiful state.
If only Nikki Fried had won, there wouldn't be anymore weather.

It's possible she is the Wicked Witch of Winter and can control the weather, but probably not.

This is absolutely the best advice to the Democratic party. Real people are facing crisis right now. I have friends and family in all parts of the state and I am worried about them and my own health and property. There are times when keeping politics out of it should be the policy. Coming together and supporting the current leadership and offering prayers. Even if you don't like the current Governor, save your snarky tweet until the weather has passed. Better yet, never tweet and just go out and help your neighbors.
Another new low! How is the Miami/dade teachers union doing. Speaking of disasters.

Thankfully, they have almost no power now, and since they did as much damage as some of these storms, that is a very good thing, too.
I think it's appropriate that you delete this post.

umm given how things are going for your party in Florida might as well delete your account as well.
Listen, I have experience with terrible Florida weather. When I was five, a tornado ripped our roof off part of our house. My Dad was out of town, and my Mom kept her cool as we huddled in the stairwell. It was terrifying, probably more to her than me as I was a kid without the schema to know what could happen. Families are possibly facing one of their worst days ever today. The Democrats should absolutely delete that post. They should delete it and replace it with one sending best wishes to all Floridians and hope the storms are not as harmful as predicted.
