William Shatner took some flak for not attending his Star Trek co-star Leonard Nimoy’s funeral. He had already made a commitment to do a charity benefit and could not do both events though.
He took to Twitter today to reminisce with fans about Nimoy’s life and it became a sort of online memorial service. Their off-screen friendship seems to have been very similar to the relationship between Captain Kirk and Mister Spock. Maybe that’s why Star Trek has resonated with so many fans for so long.
I asked if you all would be interested in celebrating Leonard's life today. Why don't we reconvene at noon ET/ 9am PT and begin.
