David Petraeus wasn’t sneaky enough to keep his affair with biographer Paula Broadwell under wraps, but this morning he thwarted reporters trying to catch a glimpse of his arrival at the Capitol for closed-door Benghazi hearings.
Cloak of invisibility, perhaps?
Gen. Petraeus has arrived on Capitol Hill to brief lawmakers. Unseen by reporters as far as we can tell.

So many hallways, passageways, entrances, exits on capitol hill that allowed Petraeus to slip into room unseen by swarm of reporters

Dozens of journalists at the Capitol this morning seeking early glimpse of Petraeus. He was spirited into House Intell mtg, unseen.

Petraeus is apparently already inside the hearing room, seemingly dodging reporters on his way in

On Petraeus mystery entrance to Capitol, when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

It’s a mystery!
Gen Petraeus avoids press pack at Capitol, enters House Intel hearing through a side door…

Pesky side doors.
