Six-term incumbent Rep. Jim Matheson has not only lost his lead over Republican Mia Love in the Utah congressional race — she’s now beating him 51-36, according to a new internal poll.

As Glenn Reynolds notes at Instapundit, “Some Democrats seem not to be taking it that well.”

Police are investigating a packet of vile racist pictures sent to Love’s office in Saratoga Springs, Utah.
City Manager Mark Christensen described the contents of the thick envelope as “disturbing” and “pretty creepy stuff.” He said it included a picture of Love and her husband, Jason, and a hooded Ku Klux Klan character. There also were pictures of aborted fetuses, he said.
Disgusting. RT @CO2HOG: Mia Love (R CAND, UT-04) targeted with vicious racist hate mail. http://t.co/RaEaqlKu

Christensen said the city has received others mailings aimed at Mia Love but nothing like the one that arrived Tuesday. http://t.co/JjdPraE0

There’s no word on where the pictures came from. But Love, the daughter of Haitian immigrants, has been the repeated target of despicable race- and gender-based attacks by the Left.
With Love surging ahead in the race, Mother Jones wanted in on the action. The lefty rag dropped the thin pretense of tolerance and celebration of diversity to go after Love and her parents.

The title is “GOP Rising Star Mia Love: ‘Anchor Baby’?”
Note the question mark and quotes around “anchor baby.” The Mother Jones writer isn’t saying Love is an “anchor baby” to undermine her huge lead; she’s just “asking questions” about “what Republicans derisively call an ‘anchor baby’.” You know, by suggesting her parents “gamed the immigration system” and raising questions about Love’s truthfulness.
"Yet by @MiaBLove's own account, she is what Republicans derisively call an 'anchor baby'" http://t.co/ttzZwIdk

GOP star Mia Love quietly covering the fact that she's an Anchor baby herself! Republican black puppets slipping everyday!

Note to Mother Jones’ readers: Love’s parents came to the United States as legal immigrants. Not that she had much say in the matter.
Listening to Mia Love on KNRS. Mother Jones questioning if she was an anchor baby. REALLY? These damn libs have no low they wont stoop to.

Pushing thr buttons..UGoGirl! Classy: Liberal Rag Mother Jones Attacks Mia Love As An “Anchor Baby”…http://t.co/WEuEjIFW via @weaselzippers

An ABC affiliate interviewed Love about the “anchor baby” accusation. She blasted Mother Jones and told the interviewer she did not recall saying she was her “family’s ticket to America.”
ABC 4: “Just one last time, for the record…your parents didn’t get to stay in this country because you were born here?”
Mia Love: “Chris, what if they did? So what? What if they did? I mean they are legal. They are legal U.S. citizens. I was born in this country.”
And here we go, racist misogyny against Mia Love. And Liberals say conservatives "don't know" prejudice or what hate is. @DennisDMZ

Second verse, same as the first.
