As we previously reported, author Terry McMillan went on a Twitter rampage Saturday, where she lambasted Republicans as nefarious Hitler acolytes. McMillan originally refused to apologize, even after being taken to task by several tweeters (for both her comments and her grammar):
I do not apologize for how I feel or what I think. Especially on Twitter.

@MsTerryMcMillan "Too much hatred," you say. Hatred like your vile comment "Republicans are behaving just like Hitler did." Seek help.

Some folks can't handle the truth.

@MsTerryMcMillan You needn't apologize for what you think – because your tweets show you don't think. You are #Ignorant & your books suck.

When @MsTerryMcMillan cast one of her characters in her last book as a black republican simply for cheap shots I did NOT buy it.

After two days of Twitter backlash (and after repeatedly digging in), McMillan finally tried to walk back a small portion of her hate-filled tirade.
@PismireMike Perhaps I went too far. For which I apologize.

Perhaps? Perhaps this tweet was too little, too late from Ms. McMillan.
