On Sunday morning as MSNBC was critiquing President Trump over the firing of Navy Sec. Richard Spencer, a picture of Richard Spencer appeared on their screen.
As you can see, their picture was of the wrong Richard Spencer.
So that is definitely not a photo of former Navy Secretary Richard Spencer pic.twitter.com/ZyPIzQj1Fh

The Spencer shown by the network is a white supremacist.
MSNBC showed white supremacist Richard Spencer instead of former Navy Secretary Richard V. Spencer. Joy Reid later issued an on-air correction. pic.twitter.com/BAZGTaoXl9

This led to a rather embarrassing correction.
CORRECTION: Earlier on #AMJoy as we were talking about former Navy secretary Richard Spencer we mistakenly showed the wrong image of white supremacist Richard Spencer. We are very, deeply sorry for that mistake. pic.twitter.com/l3QW2lNP0b
