'Eye popping': One statistic in the latest NBC/WSJ poll could be HUGE for the GOP on Tuesday

The latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll found that the number of Americans who are “very satisfied” with their personal financial situation is at its highest level in the history of the survey.

As Hugh Hewitt points out, the economy tends to drive elections more than any other factor, and with 74 percent of Americans somewhat or very satisfied with their own economic position, it has to be a positive sign for the GOP.

Of course, NBC’s headline on the poll was that Democrats hold an advantage heading into the midterm elections.

And John Harwood says Trump has rallied white working-class voters by “targeting immigrants,” whatever that means.

It is as if Trump himself summoned the migrant caravan to approach the United States/Mexico border.

Regardless, if the economy is what drives this midterm election, Tuesday should be a good day for Republicans.

Very important.
