He sat cageside for the matches with UFC President Dana White as well:

And check out the crowd reacting to the governor entering the arena:

“Gov. Ron DeSantis doesn’t fake it. He’s the real deal”:
DeSantis is real af. He loves sports. As a former collegiate athlete myself, I appreciate his admiration for what athletes do and how they go about their business. @GovRonDeSantis doesn’t fake it. He’s the real deal. pic.twitter.com/cOQDyMFPPE

If you recall, Gov. DeSantis “was a major proponent of getting the UFC to Florida during the pandemic”:

Of course, blue-checks were angry with him at the time for opening up the state:
Back in April, Gov. DeSantis welcomed the UFC to Florida for a sold out event to boast his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. He stood in front of UFC fans and called Florida an "Oasis of freedom."

In other Florida news, the national media has gone all-in on a comment the governor made about Stacey Abrams, saying if she’s elected governor of Georgia there will be a “cold war” between the two states:

And since it’s not clear to all these journos, DeSantis spox Christina Pushaw was forced to confirm for them that he was joking.
“Guys, “Cold War between Florida and Georgia” was a joke. Before the press conference yesterday, some tourists from Georgia ran into @GovRonDeSantis & thanked him. Then they were in the crowd at the presser, so he gave them a shout out”:

But Florida does stand ready to accept any Georgia refugees fleeing any of Abrams’ policies if she’s elected:
But Stacey Abrams wants to force-mask kids, so it’ll be a refugee crisis from Georgia to Florida if she wins.
