WATCH: Anderson Cooper accidentally admits Florida's Surgeon General was CORRECT about vaccine effectiveness

As we told you last night, Dems in Florida walked out of the confirmation hearing for Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo over this exchange where he refused to be bullied into answering a yes or no question on the complicated nature of vaccine effectiveness.

ICYMI, here it is again:

‼️BREAKING‼️ Democratic Senators abstain and walk out from this sham of a confirmation hearing. Senate Democrats know Floridians deserve better than a doctor of disinformation as the top public health official of the state. pic.twitter.com/sSgmoufDkk

But a funny thing happened later on in the evening. . .

State Sen. Lauren Book later went on CNN to discuss the viral clip and Anderson Cooper basically admitted that Dr. Ladapo had it right after all:

Watch CNN's Anderson Cooper admit that Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Lapado told the truth in response to a confirmation hearing question on vaccine effectiveness, then basically contend that he shouldn't have. pic.twitter.com/eBoEg6dodH

Even funnier? She’s sharing the Anderson Cooper clip as if it vindicated her:

21 million Floridians deserve straight answers from our state's top public health official. Instead, Joseph Ladapo chose to make a mockery out of his confirmation hearing. So we walked out.⁰

Except it didn’t. Here’s what Cooper said:

"Vaccines did not show, over a certain period of time, effectiveness, which is certainly true over a long enough period of time…But phrasing it that way is a very strange way to phrase it when, in fact, the most direct answer is vaccines are very effective."

Oh, lol https://t.co/PpdVhngCiY

Well, he *should* have phrased it this way:

Interesting way to phrase this @andersoncooper.

You could have just said “yeah, the @FLSurgeonGen was correct.” https://t.co/270GiylU45
