Conservative and foster mother Brittany Cover ripped into those mocking the foster and adoptive family we told you about earlier today in that CNN segment over the amount of milk and food they buy for their 10 kids:

CNN airs a great piece about inflation being a burden on foster/adoptive family and them trying to afford to meet the needs of all the kids in their care.

This family stepped out to tell an important story. They are good, selfless people. Taking in TEENS. Do you know how hard it is to find foster families that take in teenagers? Do you have ANY idea? But sure, mock them. That'll do the trick.

Do you know about the food insecurity of foster children? Of teens coming into care? Do you know how important it is for foster families to feed these children and heal their food trauma? But sure, latch onto the 12 gallons and joke about milk baths.

One of the most important things a foster family can do is have plenty of food and have it easily accessible for their placements. Food is a source of trauma and having a stocked fridge and pantry is a part of the healing process.

It might seem so minor given the other major reasons kids come into care, but this is something that foster families regularly deal with. This sweet family opened their home to America and got ugliness in return. Shame on us.
