'Actually embarrassing': For some reason, Politico's Sam Stein left out a bunch of bills Dems successfully filibustered

Um, “recent” bills?

Actually embarrassing how desperate journalists are to pressure Democrats into getting rid of the filibuster. There is no other explanation for the weekly interrogations of Manchin etc. with the hope they change their mind.

In this case, "recent" means 7-12 years ago for 4/5. https://t.co/OzYO6zjxod

These are not what we’d call recent:

Jan. 6 commission: 2021
DREAM Act: 2010
Manchin-Toomey: 2013
DISCLOSE Act: 2010
Paycheck Fairness Act: 2012 https://t.co/4xJA4owsuz

And that’s because it was Dems doing the filibustering in the more recent years:

Anything happen between 2015 and 2020?

Boy is it weird how this totally nonpartisan journo would leave these out:

He doesn’t mention late term abortion ban, police reform, wall funding or other majority-backed bills Dems blocked because they liked those filibusters. Many journos are just activists.

And this list may help him remember:

Here are just the 2020 votes filibustered by the Democrats, more recent than your list:https://t.co/U4vgwZWVQ4 pic.twitter.com/7s9GUCNARu

Not only this, but they would’ve crapped their pants if it was then-Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who nuked the filibuster as then-President Trump wanted him to do:

Notice these reporters don't spend every week asking those that want to get rid of the filibuster to justify their position each week. it only goes in one direction because that's the direction they prefer.

But now we no longer have a “functioning democracy”?
