This tweet is going viral. Your thoughts?
You’re getting $1400, but a $1.9T relief bill divided by 330M Americans is costing you $5757.

It does look that Rep. Dan Crenshaw saw the tweet and he dropped this video echoing its sentiment:
Democrat math….doesn’t work. pic.twitter.com/1UpACYwJzw

Others are pointing out that it’s really the next generation that owes the $5700, not us:
This is a ridiculous framing. It’s not that you’re getting $1400 and it’s costing you $5757 – it’s that you’re getting $1400 and it’s costing your kids $5757, plus interest. https://t.co/8x0umfP0S7

But we have so much debt, will they even notice?
I’m not worried about the kids having to pay off the national debt. They’ll just pass it onto their kids. It’s fine. https://t.co/gFtl3eCYfy

It’s “waaaay past our kids”:
Oh man, we're waaaay past our kids, this debt debt is biblical, like to the seventh son of the seventh son of the seventh son (and anyone else Caesar can squeeze). https://t.co/COtsbFMVAJ

Others are arguing the debt doesn’t even matter:
That's a ridiculous frame.
It also means it is very hard for many people to understand how stimulus works, how money works, how time and money work together, why a government isn't a household, etc etc.
In general, when someone does math like this they are making a bad pt. https://t.co/ZcMzhcKM38

Oh, yes, all the “things” we’re funding!
Yes, can you believe that a spending bill does not 100% consist of direct checks to individuals, but instead spends money on THINGS? Truly amazing. Revolutionary. https://t.co/Oy179nhkEQ

We’ve covered just how wasteful so much of the bill is:
