New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio seems to have finally noticed there’s an anti-Semitism problem in America, just not in HIS city:
The Mayor of Jersey City has asserted that today’s incident was a deliberate attack targeting the Jewish community. https://t.co/LMnq8wTGVo
— Mayor Bill de Blasio (@NYCMayor) December 11, 2019
This tragically confirms that a growing pattern of violent anti-Semitism has now turned into a crisis for our nation. And now this threat has reached the doorstep of New York City.
— Mayor Bill de Blasio (@NYCMayor) December 11, 2019
Although there is no credible or specific threat directed against New York City, I have directed the NYPD to assume a state of high alert.
Tonight, NYPD assets are being redeployed to protect key locations in the Jewish community. Tomorrow, we will announce additional measures.
— Mayor Bill de Blasio (@NYCMayor) December 11, 2019
History teaches us how dangerous it is to ignore this kind of hateful pattern. We must stop anti-Semitism aggressively and decisively, and I call upon all New Yorkers to join in rooting out this threat.
— Mayor Bill de Blasio (@NYCMayor) December 11, 2019
According to early media reports, one of the two anti-Semitic terrorists who attacked the kosher market in Jersey City as a “follower of the Black Hebrew Israelite movement”:
BREAKING: Gunmen who stormed kosher store in Jersey City identified as David Anderson and Francine Graham. Anderson was a follower of the Black Hebrew Israelite movement. There were postings connected to Anderson's social page with anti-police and anti-Jewish writings – WNBC

And Ben Shapiro called out de Blasio for ignoring anti-Semitic attacks in his own city because they didn’t fit the narrative that “it only counts if it can be blamed on Trump”:
Recommended
Anti-Semitic attacks in NYC have spiked radically in the last several years, under your mayoralty, you bag of stupid. The media just ignore it because it's inconvenient to the narrative that the anti-Semitism only counts if it can be blamed on Trump. https://t.co/ZJHf46gy4h
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) December 11, 2019
Shapiro also had strong words for the media and predicted they’ll soon ignore the attack because it can’t be blamed on the president or on white supremacists:
Anti-Semitic terror attack in Jersey City wasn't by white supremacists, and can't be blamed on Trump; it was by black Hebrew Israelites, a fringe non-Jewish group that sees actual Jews as fake Jews. This means no "national conversation" on anti-Semitism.
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) December 11, 2019
This has been the media's pattern. If it comes from white supremacists, it deserves coverage and prompts Trump-centric conversation; if it's just a massive spike in anti-Semitic attacks in NYC from non-white supremacists, it doesn't even merit a mention.
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) December 11, 2019
Meanwhile, we'll see editorials today from drooling morons declaring that REAL anti-Semitism is Trump signing an EO that protects Jews in the same way as other minorities on college campuses, following an Obama-era Department of Education guideline.
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) December 11, 2019
Note: He’s talking about this story:
Head of the Anti-Defamation League seems to confirm that the executive order on anti-Semitism did not redefine Judaism as a nationality, which means it was not changed at the last minute, just was misreported yesterday: https://t.co/HWbzYVzbVt
— (((Yair Rosenberg))) (@Yair_Rosenberg) December 11, 2019
Shapiro continued:
These idiots claim that Trump is trying to "redefine" Jewishness as nationality/race in order to "other" people. This demonstrates (1) they know nothing about Jewishness, which has, since the Bible, been connected to ancestry, but not exclusively ancestry;
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) December 11, 2019
and (2) they don't give a hot damn about anti-Semitism, as they cheer on Left-wing anti-Semites ranging from Corbyn to Omar to Tlaib, ignore anti-Semitic violence that can't be blamed on their political opponents…
