CNN analyst thinks he now knows who wrote the infamous anonymous NYT op-ed

Here’s Kirstjen Nielsen’s resignation letter. . .

Its been an honor of a lifetime to serve with the brave men and women of @DHSgov. I could not be prouder of and more humbled by their service, dedication, and commitment to keep our country safe from all threats and hazards. pic.twitter.com/lIQ5iqGDmF

. . .and it has CNN legal analyst and former FBI agent Josh Campbell going on the record and saying that the letter above exhibits the same writing style as found in the now infamous NYT op-ed by an anonymous senior Trump administration official:

As a trained investigator, I’m just going to go on record now saying that anonymous NYT op-ed was LOADED with commas and em dashes.

And so is this resignation letter. https://t.co/6KM1huiO0i https://t.co/GTdYRzumSd

I might be wrong, but the style and cadence…

Nielsen: "And we have ramped up security measures…"

Anonymous NYT op-ed writer: "And we are trying to do what’s right…"

And don’t even get me started on the use of “historic,” “thwart,” “discourse,” and “safer”… ? https://t.co/VS2RmQolnJ

Interesting. . .
