Conservative Amy Holmes shared this disturbing meme and message she received as a Twitter DM. You’d expect that after she reported it to Twitter, Twitter would take action, right? RIGHT?
This was just sent to me as a DM. I rarely report Tweeters. I believe in free expression. And I have cut out this person’s twitter ID here. No need to gang up. But so that people know, stuff like this gets people blocked and reported by me. pic.twitter.com/jj6NgCrjCr

Wrong!
Apparently calling a black conservative a “nappy headed nigga” is “not in violation of the Twitter Rules”:
Just received this from Twitter: “Hello, Thank you for your report. After investigating, we have determined that the account is not in violation of the Twitter Rules (https://t.co/MLz2x7qHKz).” Good to know. Sending personally targeted racist messages is technically w/in bounds.

So, what are the rules, exactly? It’s a mystery:
Calling me a “Nappy headed nigga” DM with a screen grab expressing literal “hate” may not violate Twitter’s rules for targeted harassment, but they violate mine and get the sender blocked.

Do better, Jack:
An eye opener about what Twitter regards as hate speech. Calling me a “Nappy headed nigga” w/ screen grab literally expressing hatred of me: “Hello, Thank you for your report. After investigating, we have determined that the account is not in violation of the Twitter Rules”

Using “hate” in a message is not “hate speech”:
Correct. Sending a DM to a person literally using the words: “I hate you. I hate you. I don’t even know you and I hate your guts” prefaced with “Nappy headed nigga” does not violate Twitter hate speech rules. Interesting. https://t.co/EaIwj7mFXD

Now compare that to conservative @RightGlockMom who had her account suspended for 12 hours for daring to type “learn to c*de” in a response to Michelle Malkin. This wasn’t an attack against any journo, mind you. It was just a snarky comment:
I sure did. (A first for me, btw and it wasn't directed at anyone) pic.twitter.com/NqTNmWVbVA

Twitter, YOU have a problem. FIX THIS.
