Former Obama national security staffer Ben Rhodes took a shot at the US policy of supporting Saudi Arabia in the ongoing civil war in Yemen:
Important point. There is literally no reason for the US to support a policy that has failed to achieve any objective and is risking millions with famine – no one is even mounting a credible argument for this inhumane approach so there is no reason for congress to take a pass https://t.co/IFk4gBjwUQ

Weird! Rhodes failed to mention that this policy is one he and the Obama administration created in the first place:
You created this problem. YOU!

Self-awareness … what is it? It’s like he just woke up from a 10-year nap …

Remember the Iran deal, Ben? Supporting the Saudis in Yemen was part of it:
This is pretty damning. Let’s help Saudi Arabia destroy Yemen so they aren’t pissed we’re negotiating a nuclear deal with Iran. You think Chris Hayes will tell the story how we got here or just that Trump/Saudi destroyed Yemen. pic.twitter.com/g2Ozv484Ac

It was clear during that the policy wasn’t working during the Obama administration despite the president then calling the Yemen model a “success story”:
Back in 2015-2016 when I presume it had the potential to "achieve" an "objective", was that a "credible argument" for your admin's decision to support a policy that led to "risking millions with famine" & killing tens of thousands? https://t.co/Dc2ZalVZfK

The Yemen War started under Obama in March 2015? Ben Rhodes served as deputy national security advisor to Obama, overseeing the administration’s national security communications, speechwriting, public diplomacy, and global engagement programming. Now read his opinion on the war. https://t.co/4gnitUsP53

Maybe Ben missed all of the criticism then?
