Apparently Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry outed himself as a moon-truther this week on the “Winging It” podcast when he questioned the hosts if astronauts had even set foot on the moon:
Stephen Curry doesn't think astronauts walked on the moon. NASA says they would like to prove him wrong. https://t.co/x4iJWZDCXf
— NYT Sports (@NYTSports) December 11, 2018
From the New York Times:
“We ever been to the moon?” he asked.
The others, in unison, agreed that the answer was no.
“They’re going to come get us,” Curry replied. “Sorry, I don’t want to start conspiracies.”
Enjoy the dragging, Stephen, because you’ve earned it:
Steph, so much respect for you, but re the moon landing thing, let’s talk. DM me. https://t.co/BXYxPF4zz1

“@StephenCurry30 doesn't believe humans have been to moon”https://t.co/xFKxjtSfCq#ShutUpAndDribble

.@StephenCurry30 calling into question the greatest accomplishment in human history does such an incredible disservice to the men and women who sacrificed so much to get us to the moon. It's incredibly irresponsible for someone with your platform to ignore facts like this.

@StephenCurry30 says we didn't land our brave our astronauts on the moon. He doubts "facts."
It's dangerous & frankly disappointing. He owes the family of Neil Armstrong & all our astronaut families a huge apology.
Conspiracy theories are for crazy people.

What would make people believe stuff? Dear @StephenCurry30 – what would make you believe man didn't land on the moon? So sad that history could be negated by some parenthetical reality. https://t.co/eUmZQJIquz

Attention science and history teachers. We've got a Moon landing doubter. And his name is @StephenCurry30 @NASA @GoldenState I saw it live. Was that a stage production or something? Hmm. @fox32news https://t.co/CZER48u3WB

@StephenCurry30 What the hell are you thinking saying that moon landing stuff in public? Such an idiotic thing to say. You just lost a lot of respect from me.

Even NASA got involved and invited Curry to tour the Johson Space Center in Houston the next time he’s in town:
“We’d love for Mr. Curry to tour the lunar lab at our Johnson Space Center in Houston, perhaps the next time the Warriors are in town to play the Rockets."
NASA is ready to prove to Stephen Curry that humans have landed on the moon: https://t.co/ra8bfkEAhg pic.twitter.com/SkELIkLrKx
