LOL.
Colorado Democrat Governor John Hickenlooper told folks gathered at a New Hampshire diner that “I’m going to run for president” but then seconds later said, “to be honest, I haven’t made the final decision”:
At Roots Cafe/Robie’s Country Store in Hooksett Gov. John Hickenlooper @hickforco says he’s running for President, then kinda walks it back #FITN #nhpolitics #WMUR pic.twitter.com/GuQ7GmU5uN

We saw history made … and then we saw it unmade:
Just prior to this interaction @hickforco told a woman behind the counter “I’m John Hickenlooper and I’m running for President. You’re the first person in New Hampshire I’ve said that to.” #FITN #nhpolitics

But it did sound like he was citing campaign finance rules which treat candidates who have officially declared differently than those just thinking about it, which goes to show just how absurd some of these laws are:
Yes, Hickenlooper said he was running for president and then walked it back citing campaign finance laws.
But my favorite part of this video is the woman saying "that's exciting!" the same way my relatives said it when I told them my adult rec baseball team made the playoffs. https://t.co/s0X5Sbt1mz

Everyone knows what he’s thinking anyway:

If it weren't for those pesky "legal ramifications," if would be official that @GovofCO Hickenlooper is going to try to run for president in #2020 https://t.co/ibcu3cjxph— Colorado Rising Action (@CORisingAction) October 31, 2018
