Well, that was fast…
With reports this morning that suspicious packages that were treated as explosive devices had been intercepted on their way to Bill and Hillary Clinton and Barack and Michelle Obama, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) is already using the scare to chastise the media for its coverage of the migrant caravan headed to America:
Which will get more coverage today? The group of peaceful refugees walking to America, or the bombs that are being sent to prominent Democrats? https://t.co/Au3PBZffmd

It’s weird that Sen. Chris Murphy and the media are no longer talking about the attempted assassination of GOP politicians last year by a crazed liberal, since he’s totes concerned about this and all:
Someone actually shot the House Majority Whip last year and we hear about it surprisingly infrequently. https://t.co/kEh4MZsUPV

I mean 'surprisingly' literally — I am surprised that incident is not demagogued more.

Instead we get Dems and the media cheering on uncivil behavior on politicians in restaurants and such:
It was an attempted assassination on a group of republicans and the only thing you heard from Clinton and Co were calls to be more uncivil, with the media nodding. Why would Don and Brian try to make their side look bad and that that out? https://t.co/xBbzBFBjJa
