As we told you on Friday, the caravan of Central American immigrants making its way through Mexico had reached the border town of Tijuana with plans to mass apply for asylum on Sunday.
According to reports, the San Ysidro port of entry “reached capacity” earlier today:

But that was even before the members of the caravan even showed up:

And we’re seeing reports that some of the immigrants are already entering the U.S. illegally:
U.S. @CBP says over the past 24-hours “several groups of people associated with the Central American Caravan have illegally entered the U.S. without immigration documents by climbing over the dilapidated scrap metal border fence on either side of the San Ysidro Port of Entry.”
