Lawnmowers vs. AR-15s: Which are more deadly to Americans?

Here’s another statistic from the New York Times article on AR-15s we told you about earlier. According to the Times, “Since 2007, at least 173 people have been killed in mass shootings in the United States involving AR-15s, according to a New York Times analysis.”

OK. But compare that number to deaths from lawnmowers over the same period of time:

As it turns out, lots of things are more dangerous than AR-15s:

Also, there’s date being ignored by the media that despite the number of guns in America rising each year, the homicide rate is actually in decline. “More guns and we’re getting safer” is not something the media is focusing on:
