We’re not big Samantha Bee fans, but what the heck. We decided to give it a watch…
Which turned out to be a big mistake as it was horrible.
In the skit, different show castmates are involved in a race to apologize for things President Trump has done. At the 4:37 mark, Amy Hoggart runs into Dan Rather to apologize for Trump’s “Fake News Awards” and his “attacks on the free press.”

That’s right. Bee used the guy fired from CBS News in 2004 because of his fake news story on George W. Bush and the National Guard to mock Trump over his criticism of fake news in the media.
