LUBED UP AND READY TO GO! 'Crisco cops' in Philly out in force to prevent fans from climbing light poles

The City of Philadelphia is preparing for today’s playoff game between the Eagles and Minnesota Vikings with … Crisco?

Good morning from Philly where crews from the city are greasing the light poles with Crisco to prevent #Eagles fans from climbing after the #NFCChampionshipGame tonight. #Vikings pregame coverage starts at 3 on FOX9. They call themselves the #CriscoCops pic.twitter.com/w1ZkYWZhYG

Eagles fans, for the win (or lose):

Note how the concern isn't conditional on the outcome of the game https://t.co/09XCtmQ1u8

I live in a city that actually sent out crews to put grease on poles to prevent eagles fans from climbing on them after tonight's game, and they call themselves "Crisco cops."

We have the best fans, just saying.

Also this isn't a joke. True story.

An innovation that noted Philadelphian Ben Franklin would be proud of https://t.co/lP0J1jaGs1

Thankfully the government shutdown didn’t affect this vital service:

Every once in a while you discover an essential component of government that you had no idea even existed. https://t.co/q8zmEgOLON

Is there a Crisco cleanup crew?

I have so many questions, but chief among them is what happens 3 days from now with these greased up poles? https://t.co/TEwMd5zvJz

But do the “Crisco cops” really think this will stop fans?

Exactly. Challenge accepted:

No way a little grease stops Philly fan from achieving his/her goal… https://t.co/BFWqFrnN2k
