“Jeopardy” host Alex Trebek is under fire today after a video clip went viral of him calling a female contestant a “loser.”
The contestant, librarian Susan Cole from Bowie, MD, told Trebek that her favorite genre of music was something called “nerdcore hip-hop” which she described as “rapping about the things” like “video games, science-fiction, having a hard time meeting romantic partners. You know, it’s really catchy and fun.”
Trebek’s brutal response? “Losers, in other words.”

The “loser” ending up winning on Wednesday and was back for a second day on Thursday, nailing a question on Clint Eastwood on Final Jeopardy for a second win and a two-day total of $39,000:

It’s impossible to know Clint Eastwood trivia and be a loser, so Trebek owes this woman an apology.
And why would he call nerds “losers” in the first place? That’s who he gets on the show!
Here’s some of the backlash:
Alex Trebek of #Jeopardy calling nerds "losers" is the STUPIDEST thing I've ever heard. Those "losers" GIVE YOU A JOB

We, nerds & geeks, are no longer the "losers" as Trebek says. We run major companies, movie studios, & create most of the world's art.

These people in Atlanta even got together for one big, “Suck it, Trebek!”
