As we told you yesterday, Gov. Terry McAuliffe is under federal investigation over possibly illegal campaign contributions to his 2012 gubernatorial race. At issue is a $120,000 donation from Chinese billionaire, Wang Wenliang. McAullife told reporters today that he’s “not sure ” if he “even met the gentlemen” and “we went back and checked and our lawyers for the campaign said this man was fully vetted.”

“Fully vetted”? Well, then — case closed!

Wenliang is also a major donor to the Clinton Foundation that probably fully vetted him as well:
