Man of the people Mitt Romney gets Shakespearian with @realDonaldTrump

Good news! The 2012 GOP nominee is now in a Twitter troll war with the front-runner and likely 2016 GOP nominee over the release of tax returns, and doing so quoting from Shakespeare no less:

Methinks the Donald doth protest too much. Show voters your back taxes, @realDonaldTrump. #WhatIsHeHiding

— Mitt Romney (@MittRomney) February 25, 2016

Can @MittRomney just tweet in Shakespearian Old English forever? https://t.co/2mq6A47VRB

Well, at least someone is attacking Donald Trump:

I love it. It’s less than a week before Super Tuesday 2016 and the only man standing against Trump is @MittRomney https://t.co/cJPS0pboIP

And there’s a pattern:

So Trump is/was at war with the GOP nominees of 2012, 2008, 2004, and 2000. Got it. https://t.co/O4Cvi137X5

Flashback. Didn’t we defend Romney from this very line of attack in 2012? Yes we did:

Am I the only person flashing back to when (alleged) child-toucher Reid did this to Romney? https://t.co/nLlctlIOCD

Did @SenatorReid take over @mittromney's Twitter account? https://t.co/dhf29rhhLc

Romney is responding to these tweets from The Donald:

I'm going to do what @MittRomney was totally unable to do- WIN!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 25, 2016

Signing a recent tax return- isn't this ridiculous? pic.twitter.com/UdwqF4iZIZ

Just for your info, tax returns have 0 to do w/ someone’s net worth. I have already filed my financial statements w/ FEC. They are great!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 25, 2016

Why doesn’t @MittRomney just endorse @marcorubio already.
Should have done it before NH or Nevada where he had a little sway. Too late
now!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 25, 2016

Mitt Romney, who was one of the dumbest and worst candidates in the history of Republican politics, is now pushing me on tax returns. Dope!

What a wonderful time to be alive.
