Why is Rachel Dolezal, the now infamous former NAACP chapter president in Washington who was outed as a white woman, trending again this morning? Here’s why…
.@RIhanna on Rachel Dolezal: "I think she was a bit of a hero" http://t.co/Hrnc81uFxF
— VANITY FAIR (@VanityFair) October 6, 2015
Oh, Rihanna. This is going to leave a mark:
Calling Rachel Dolezal a "hero" is earning @rihanna a Twitter beat down that makes @chrisbrown jealous.

And not only did Rihanna call Dolezal a “hero” during her interview with Vanity Fair, but according to the star singer, she “changed people’s perspective” and “woke people up” by pretending to be black, too:
“I think she was a bit of a hero, because she kind of flipped on society a little bit,” Rihanna told Robinson during one long-ranging, late-night conversation. “Is it such a horrible thing that she pretended to be black? Black is a great thing, and I think she legit changed people’s perspective a bit and woke people up.”
Sorry RiRi … Tweeters don’t agree. AT ALL:
