Sen. Claire McCaskill is done with HBO's 'Game of Thrones' after Sansa's 'gratuitous rape scene'

Add Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill to the list of those angry at HBO’s “Game of Thrones” over a scene Sunday night of fan-favorite character Sansa Stark getting raped on her wedding night by the incredibly evil Ramsay Bolton:

Ok, I'm done Game of Thrones.Water Garden, stupid.Gratuitous rape scene disgusting and unacceptable. It was a rocky ride that just ended.

Just so we’re clear here. “Game of Thrones” — for five years now — has been committing all sorts of atrocities on men, women and children, but Sunday’s episode that showed Sansa’s brutal wedding night was the final straw?

.@clairecmc Clearly the "gratuitous rape scene" in episode 1 didn't bother you. So what changed? Other than a chance for demagoguery?

.@clairecmc Castrations, beheadings, baby death, skulls being crushed but off screen moaning crossed the line.

@redsteeze @clairecmc Really? What Jamie did to Cersei over Joffery's body wasn't enough? Someone wants attention, me thinks.

In a single moment, Ramsay Bolton squandered all the feminist goodwill he had established by castrating Theon. http://t.co/8Fycxvn0ji

@SonnyBunch missed the baby purge at Baelish's brothel to kill off any living heir to Robert Baratheon.

If you want to be outraged at fictional rapes @clairecmc, start with Rolling Stone @ChocolateThund9

Heh. Good luck with that.
