WATCH: A policy adviser for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez straight-up lied to Tucker Carlson on Friday night

Andrew Lawrence from Media Matters flagged this clip from Tucker Carlson’s show Friday night that featured an interview with Robert Hockett, a policy adviser for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Lawrence says Hockett “debunks all the conservative media lies straight to [Carlson’s] face,” but what actually happened is that it was Hockett who lied to Carlson.

The clip starts off with Carlson asking about the section from the FAQ released by Ocasio-Cortez on the Green New Deal that guarantees “Economic security to all who are unable or unwilling to work.” Here’s a screenshot of the now-deleted page from her website:

But Hockett told Carlson “AOC has never said anything like that” and this FAQ was really a doctored document “that someone other than us has been circulating.” Then he falsely claimed that Ocasio-Cortez had tweeted out the doctored FAQ to “laugh at it.” Hockett also claimed Ocasio-Cortez’s stated goal of getting rid of airplanes — again, from her FAQ — was being misunderstood. Check it out:

Here are the now-deleted sections on airplanes:

The issue for Hockett to answer is why did Ocasio-Cortez pull this FAQ off of her website:

As for the tweet from Ocasio-Cortez on the doctored parts of the legislation, she did tweet something out but the images had nothing to do with her guarantee of economic security for those “unwilling to work”:
