Ian Millhiser, ThinkProgress Justice Editor, tweeted on November 6 that his “favorite part of election night is watching people cherry pick datapoints out of exit polls which reconfirm their priors”
My favorite part of election night is watching people cherry pick datapoints out of exit polls which reconfirm their priors.

And here’s Ian Millhiser from last night, reconfirming his priors and cherrypicking datapoints from the Mississippi runoff election for U.S. Senate:
Aw man, if these early exit polls are right, Mike Espy is going to have a very happy night. https://t.co/ihMBKsLBQV https://t.co/bu7moJ6hJd

Whoops. And it wasn’t even close with Cindy Hyde-Smith over Mike Espy, 53.9 – 46.1:
Projection: Cindy Hyde-Smith (R) has defeated Mike Espy (D) in the #MSSEN runoff. But she's done so w/ an underwhelming margin for an R in MS.

Well, at least Espy can be happy that won the exit polls:
While this is not the result we were hoping for, I am proud of the historic campaign we ran and grateful for the support we received across Mississippi.
